Since starting guitar at nine years old, Rory was hooked on music. After playing in metal and folk bands as a teenager, he went on to study contemporary music composition at university — where he met his first sampler. Like a cheat code to every instrument under the sun.

Based in Brisbane, Australia, releasing music under the name illutible, Rory scores short films and produces a variety of styles, frequently including what he likes to call cinematic hip hop. He loves incorporating glitchy sounds that resolve into emotive melodies and big harmonies.
